About Polly
When I’m not engaged in my clients’ projects, coaching, or crafting episodes for my eagerly anticipated podcast, “What Really Matters,” you might find me in the kitchen perfecting my latest gluten-free dessert, enjoying a round of golf with my husband, or diving into community volunteer work. I have a knack for redecorating my home and perhaps, you could say, a penchant for tackling it for the eleventy-bajillionth time! As a speaker, I frequently take the stage to emcee events and share insights on a variety of topics.
My husband and I share a passion for travel, and last year, we had the incredible opportunity to explore the wonders of Kenya and South Africa—what an unforgettable adventure! This year, we’re excited to traverse the picturesque landscapes and rich histories of Turkey, Greece, and Italy!
I envision a world where classical piano melodies softly fill the air, books come paired with delectable salted caramel chocolate, and a magical force field protects my beautiful wood floors from the adventures of muddy dog paws. Originally from the beautiful Lewis-Clark Valley, I proudly call Clarkston my home. I’m happily married to Cliff, a dedicated physical therapist from Canada, and together we revel in the joys of being grandparents to six delightful, bright grandchildren!
Experience
I’ve spent my career working in nonprofit management, public relations, marketing, and training boards. My goal is to help nonprofit organizations and their leaders succeed in our community. I’ve held various positions at colleges and universities focused on advancement and development, and I had a meaningful seven-year role on the executive team at a community-owned hospital in Clarkston, Washington. I LOVE fundraising and helping small nonprofits succeed! It’s truly my passion!!
I specialize in things like major gift fundraising, annual fund programs, proposal writing, prospect research, board development, and donor stewardship. I’ve had success in securing significant gifts in cash, stocks, equipment, software, and planned giving from both individuals and businesses.
I am proud to have started my own coaching and consulting business. I really enjoy collaborating with others and helping them connect with their passions. I aim to support, encourage, and educate about best practices and making positive habit changes. I’m a certified life coach and a licensed Enneagram practitioner, which adds a unique spin to how I approach personal and professional growth.
My love for learning keeps me active in pursuing more education and certifications in fundraising management and philanthropy. I earned my Certification in Fund Raising Management (CFRM) from Indiana University in 2006, and I’m always looking for new ways to learn and engage with my community.
